As an energy auditor or contractor installing energy efficient upgrades, the Metropolitan Energy Center is your go-to resource for information on available programs, training and certification and any supporting tools and paperwork to make your job easier.

EnergyWorks KC is a current program available to Kansas City residents developed through a grant from the Department of Energy and administered through the Metropolitan Energy Center. It provides homeowner and businesses the tools and support they need to improve their environment and save thousands of dollars in the process. EnergyWorks KC connects the consumer to the many energy efficiency programs available for making home energy improvements. Our expert customer service representatives personally walk residents and business owners through the various rebates and financing incentives linked to current energy initiatives and help them complete their paperwork. The first step in the program is a comprehensive energy analysis to uncover a building's energy performance and assess areas for energy improvement. As part of the program, the Metropolitan Energy Center can provide program participants a list of certified energy auditors and energy contractors to assist in completing EnergyWorks KC upgrades and program requirements.

The Metropolitan Energy Center and its partners are actively promoting EnergyWorks KC through grassroots community initiatives targeted to seven urban neighborhoods, through the media and during participating utility and city events. You, too, can help us advocate EnergyWorks KC as Kansas City's resource for everything pertaining to energy efficient solutions.
